At Your Request

Wednesdays, 12 noon to 3 pmAre you in the mood for Mozart? Are you dreaming of Debussy? If so, At Your Request is your program. Bridging the classical music programs hosted by Jack Moore and Jill Pasternak, At Your Request provides you with the opportunity to request classical pieces that you want to hear.
This is how it works: From the 50 to 60 requests received each week via letters, e-mails, and faxes, Program Director Jack Moore selects 10 to 15 pieces that balance each other when played during the three-hour program. To listeners, the three hours sound similar to regular classical music programming - the exception being that the host mentions the name of the person requesting the music.
Each listener is allowed one request per month. "We don't say no to anyone," says Jack Moore. "And we do our best to get all requests on air, but no promises are made." Unfortunately, requests are not carried over to following Wednesdays. So if you don't hear your piece, please wait another month and try again."
