WRTI brings you The Philadelphia Singers in a recorded concert from the Kimmel Center on Sunday, August 2nd from 3 to 5 pm. The acclaimed ensemble's performance was the highlight of the 32nd Chorus America Conference held this past June in Philadelphia.Under the direction of Music Director David Hayes, The Philadelphia Singers is a professional choral ensemble that engages a broad range of audiences in the Philadelphia region with compelling concert performances of choral masterpieces and contemporary works. The Philadelphia Singers are accompanied in this concert by The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and other small ensembles. You'll hear choral works by Charles Martin Loeffler (By the Rivers of Babylon), Donald Martino (Seven Pious Pieces), and Anton Bruckner (Mass No. 2 in E minor).
