Ryan Gottlieb has always had a passion for both music and radio. Combining those passions together and calling it a "job" is a dream come true, especially in his hometown of Philadelphia —well, technically Jenkintown, PA —where as a kid he and his friends regularly dropped by (uninvited) their favorite radio station, alternative rock formatted WDRE.
Joining the WRTI family in 2018, Ryan began his radio career in 2013 as a volunteer host/programmer at WDIY—a community driven NPR member station based in Bethlehem, PA. This opportunity helped him gain employment in radio and eventually took him all the way out to Kansas for an operations role at High Plains Public Radio, where he also continued to host music programs and share his love for music with listeners.
Jazz is a form of music that Ryan has long appreciated (playing trombone in his high school jazz band) and continues to discover, enjoy, and share jazz tunes today, very gratefully over the WRTI airwaves to an exceptionally in-tune audience.
Listen to Ryan on Saturdays from 6 to 9 pm on Jukebox Jazz, Sundays from 9 pm to midnight on In a Mellow Tone, and Saturdays from 2 to 6 am and Sundays from midnight to 6 am on Jazz Through The Night.
