The Crossing Choir in Concert on WRTI: Reprise 2, March 27th at 4 PM

The Crossing performs composer Kile Smith's 'Where flames a word' in this concert broadcast on March 27th at 4 pm on WRTI.

On Easter Sunday from 4 to 6 pm, join us to hear The Crossing in Concert, recorded live on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2016 at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill. Conductor Donald Nally is your host.

Philadelphia's professional choir dedicated to new music, The Crossing enters its second decade with "The Crossing@10: Respond/Reprise/Renew." This concert, "Reprise 2," features works about our love for one another, love for our planet, and our wish for a more loving culture.

As in Reprise 1, The Crossing returns to signature pieces in the music of Ted Hearne and David Lang,  revisit now-classic works written for the choir by Philadelphia composers Kile Smith and David Shapiro, and reprise one of their most memorable premieres, Gabriel Jackson’s stunning, thoughtful, angry, sharp, and beautiful Rigwreck.
