A Kimmel Center Double Header on ENCORE!

Peter Schaaf

It's a two-hour "Kimmel Center Presents" program on Sunday, November 18, 3 to 5 pm. In part one, you'll hear a tribute concert featuring legendary organist John Weaver, on the Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ in Verizon Hall. The concert took place this past Spring, and was sponsored by the American Guild of Organists.  It features the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Sergei Prokofiev, Cesar Frank, and John Weaver himself.

In part two, internationally acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel brings his poetry and breathtaking virtuosity to his celebrated Keyboard Conversations. By overwhelming popular demand, the series returned to the Kimmel Center for the first of his appearances in the 2012-13 season.

What are Keyboard Conversations? They're concerts with captivating, non-technical commentary, followed by a lively Q & A. The popular three-concert series - now in its eighth season - began October 15th with "Spellbinding Bach: Immortal Works and the ‘WOW’ Factor!" Don't miss it on WRTI.
