Listen on December 15th: All of Beethoven's Symphonies in One Day on WRTI 90.1!

If you love Beethoven, join us all day on December 15th for an All-Beethoven day on WRTI 90.1.

While we don’t know Beethoven’s exact birth date, we'll celebrate his 247th year on December 15th, with a full day of his works, from piano and chamber music to concertos, and all nine of his symphonies!

Listen to WRTI 90.1 from 6 am to 6 pm as we celebrate the life and creativity of the composer who is considered one of the most influential in the history of Western Music.

His output includes five piano concertos; a violin concerto; a triple concerto for violin, piano and cello; 32 piano sonatas; 16 string quartets; a Mass; and one opera, Fidelio. Not to mention sonatas for the violin and the cello, numerous songs, piano pieces and choral works!

You'll hear many of them—before, in between, and after the symphonies—which begin at 8 am on Friday, December 15th. Happy 247th Beethoven!
