Live from WRTI's Performance Studio: Lutenist Ronn McFarlane and His Band Ayreheart

Tap your toes to the music of Grammy-nominated lutenist Ronn McFarlane and his ensemble, Ayreheart. They perform an intriguing mix of music from the Renaissance to now, with a traditional Celtic tune to round out the program. WRTI’s Debra Lew Harder hosts.

Ronn's band Ayreheart includes Willard Morris, who who plays fretless electric bass, colascione and violin, and Mattias Rucht, who plays percussion.

Ayreheart combines instruments both new and old, and performs Celtic, American, and Renaissance-inspired original music written by Ronn McFarlane, along with historic Renaissance music and traditional Scottish and Irish tunes.

The group appears at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, February 8, at 7:30 PM.
