The Wanamaker Organ with Four Hands and Flugelhorn! Sunday at 5 PM on WRTI

This week on the Wanamaker Organ Hour, host Peter Richard Conte welcomes back organist and flugelhornist Andrew Ennis as special guest. On the broadcast will be music they’ve performed on the Wanamaker Organ as soloists and together in four-hand arrangements. Plus, Peter accompanies Andrew on flugelhorn, the softer, mellower cousin of the trumpet, on a few works.
Andrew Ennis is organist at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, and is a music educator in South Jersey.

One of the many Ennis arrangements we’ll hear is a work by Alexander Russell, who was a longtime music director at the John Wanamaker Stores. Stay tuned for details of a special after-hours concert on the Wanamaker Organ by Richard Elliot, the principal organist of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. Elliot was at one time assistant organist to Keith Chapman during his tenure at the Wanamaker Organ.
