Alexander Bui's solo graduation recital at Manhattan School of Music was praised as "a dazzling display of virtuosity and temperament" by The Press of Atlantic City. Now embarking on his solo career, the young pianist returns to WRTI to perform and chat with WRTI's Susan Lewis.

In 2010, Vietnamese-American concert pianist, Alexander Bui, was a semi-finalist on the hit TV show, "America's Got Talent," where judge Piers Morgan praised his extraordinary natural talent.

His solo career hs taken him to Steinway Hall in New York City, NBC Studios in Los Angeles, and the Atlantic City Borgata Resort &  Spa Casino. As a soloist with the Ocean City Pops, he garnered critical acclaim.  "Alexander Bui made the Steinway sing. He is another great Pops find," declared the Ocean City Sentinel. 

He returns to WRTI with a program of the music of Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, and Lizst.

As a Frances Hall Ballard Scholarship student, Alexander Bui received his Bachelor and Master of Music Degree (2016 & 2018) in Classical Piano from Manhattan School of Music, New York City.
 
 
Currently, Mr. Bui is pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Classical Piano from the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, New Jersey.
