Gorgeous music, an elegant venue, exciting new artists. The 2019 Astral Winners Concert, presenting all the winners of the Astral 2019 auditions to Philadelphia is coming up. Join WRTI's Debra Lew Harder at Stotesbury Mansion on Rittenhouse Square, Wednesday, October 16th at 7 PM for a beautiful evening of music for piano, cello, oboe, soprano, and mandolin.
The featured Astralartists were named winners after a rigorous multi-round audition and interview process in spring, 2019. They are pianists Christopher Goodpasture and Saetbyeol Kim, cellist Alexander Hersh, oboist Mitchell Kuhn, soprano Alexandra Nowakowski, and mandolin and domra player Ekaterina Skliar.
They'll perform a rich and varied program, including music of Mompou, Liszt, Schumann, Milhaud, Bolcom, Albeniz, and tango. We'll get a peek into the lives of these fine musicians and their insights into the music throughout the evening. Tickets and more information here.
