Wind Quintet Imani Winds

Oct 24, 2009

Imani Winds is a wind quintet and much more. Since 1997, the Grammy-nominated ensemble has taken a unique path, carving out a distinct presence in the classical music world with its dynamic playing, culturally poignant programming, and genre-blurring collaborations. The ensemble brings color, vivacity and intimacy to every concert with a vastly expanding classical repertoire. African, Asian and Middle Eastern cultures all take shape, as the quintet pushes the boundaries of classical music to fuse jazz with mixed media.
