The four winners of the Tri-County Concerts Youth Festival Piano Competition visit the WRTI Performance Studio on Wednesday, August 14th at 12:10 pm to play works by Mendelssohn, Chopin, Liszt, and Liebermann. WRTI's Kevin Gordon is host.

At 17 years old, pianist Sarah Tuan has already won mulitiple competitions, including first prize at the 2018 Philadelphia Young Pianists Academy. In advance of her upcoming concert with PYPA, she visits the WRTI Performance Studio on July 31st at 12:10 PM to play from Schumann's Faschingsschwank aus Wien and chat with WRTI's Susan Lewis.

Listen to part two of our special live performances by regional winners of the second annual Steinway Junior Piano Competition.

Three young winners of the annual Steinway Junior Piano Competition joined us live in the WRTI performance studio on Thursday, June 27th. WRTI's Kevin Gordon, host. Our guests: Silver Medal winner, 14-year-old Xingyu Zhou and Bronze Medal winners 13-year-old Alyssa Gabrilovich and 17-year-old Chris Jung.

The Sphinx Performance Academy is an intensive summer program in partnership with The Curtis Institute of Music for middle and high school-aged Black and Latino string players. A faculty string quartet visited WRTI to perform Jimenez's Curartet Virreinal and chat with WRTI's Susan Lewis.
