The combined forces of the Bucks County and Reading choral societies come together to sing two recent American masterworks. The tenors and basses of both choirs will sing Dominick Argento’s "The Revelation of St. John the Divine" with Timothy Bentch featured in the commanding tenor solo part. The sopranos and altos of both choirs will in turn sing the Indian-American composer Reena Esmail’s "I Rise: Women in Song," a stunning setting of the inspiring words of Eleanor Roosevelt, Maya Angelou, Arlene Geller, and Emily Dickinson. The program will close with the combined choirs singing Randall Thompson’s beloved “Alleluia.”
