Renewal & Additional Gift FAQs

Frequently Asked Membership Questions:

  • My membership renewal is several months away. Why am I receiving a renewal notice now?

WRTI practices the industry standard of beginning the renewal cycle in the ninth month of your membership. Your renewal date is calculated on an annual basis, year to year. In the ninth month of your membership you will receive the first request to renew. For example, if your annual renewal date is in October, 2021, you will receive your first request in July, 2021, three months prior to your October renewal date.

  • If I recently made a contribution to WRTI, why am I receiving a renewal notice?

Contributions made to WRTI before the renewal cycle begins are considered “additional gifts” and are very much appreciated! An additional gift is a contribution to WRTI that is above and beyond your yearly membership donation. Additional gifts do not renew your membership. For example, if your membership renewal date is October, 2021 and you contribute an additional gift in April, 2021 our system will automatically record this as an additional gift; it will not renew your membership. You will receive your first membership renewal request in July, 2021. Any donation before this date is considered an additional gift.

  • Does WRTI have a privacy policy concerning my e-mail address and personal information?

Yes. WRTI does not sell or trade member information with any other non-profit organizations.
