Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia opens its 149th season with two major works of the choral repertoire that touch on the divinity in humanity: Bach’s timeless setting of Mary’s devotion in the Magnificat and Esmail’s timely portrayal of the words and values we share across and among our many religious expressions.

Featuring the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia with composer Reena Esmail, Vikram Mukherjee, tabla and Snehesh Nag, sitar.
