Like hands and gloves, brass music and Christmas were made for each other. This new album from the always imaginative Canadian Brass is an affectionate tribute to the classic animated TV specials that continue to delight young and old during the holiday season.
Half the disc features selections from Vince Guaraldi’s timeless score for A Charlie Brown Christmas. What’s "Fur Elise" doing here? Why it’s "Beethoven Christmas music," of course! Frosty and Rudolph make appearances as well, as does the Grinch, in an arrangement employing Chuck Daellenbach's tuba and the voices of the musicians to great comedic effect.

Other jazzy and upbeat versions of Christmas standards round out the recording. The warm glow generated by these delightful arrangements is just the thing for that cold December night after a stressful day at work or shopping at the mall. Merry Christmas!
