Palast Orchester Band Leader Max Raabe

Join Jill Pasternak when she speaks with German vocalist Max Raabe, leader of the 12-piece Palast Orchester. Raabe and his orchestra specialize in recreating the sound of German dance and film music of the 1920s and 1930s; they'll bring their signature panache and high style to classic tunes from the Golden Age of song on March 5th at the Merriam Theater in Philadelphia.

The ensemble has achieved international success for original arrangements of works by Gershwin, Porter, and Berlin, delivered with amusing nostalgia.
