Thirteen emerging artists from all over the map came together this month in Center City to study the art of singing Russian opera with vocal coach Ghenady Meirson, a Curtis and AVA faculty member who founded the Russian Opera Workshop in 2011. The result was a concert performance of Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades (La Dame du Pique). WRTI's Lesley Valdes reviews the July 25th recital held at AVA.
