Watch and Listen: Percussionist Griffin Harrison Plays Séjourné Marimba Concerto, Live from WRTI

WRTI 90.1 student worker and award-winning percussionist Griffin Harrison visited the WRTI Performance Studio to play the Séjourné Marimba Concerto with accompanist Ting Ting Wong. WRTI's Debra Lew Harder hosted the broadcast.

A junior at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance where he studies with Chris Deviney and Phillip O’Banion, Griffin recently won the Brass/Percussion Concerto Competition at the Aspen Music Festival and School. He performed the Emmanuel Séjourné Marimba Concerto on July 30th with the Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra.

"It was an honor to be considered for this opportunity out of so many incredibly talented musicians, and to be able to perform with such a wonderful orchestra," he wrote on Facebook.
