Watch and Listen: Cellist Timotheos Petrin Plays Debussy, Stravinsky, Valentini Live from WRTI 90.1

Listen to a live performance from the WRTI 90.1 Performance Studio by cellist Timotheos Petrin, an Astral artist. WRTI's Debra Lew Harder was host and accompanied Tim at the piano. This dynamic, young Greek cellist presented a program of lyricism, lush harmony, and energy.

A Performance Today young artist-in-residence and Astral artist, Tim is a native of Thessaloniki, Greece. He grew up in a musical family, and after receiving early musical training in Greece, came to study at the Curtis Institute. Since then, he’s appeared as soloist with the Kansas City Symphony, the Athens State Symphony Orchestra, the Kennett Symphony (PA), and has been soloist with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra.

As a chamber musician, Tim has collaborated with Eighth Blackbird and the Ensemble for the Romantic Century. He’s appeared with the Fort Worth Chamber Music Society, the Jupiter Chamber Players and in “Curtis On Tour” in Asia and Europe.

Tim will be giving his Astral Artists debut recital on February 24th at 3 PM at the American Philosophical Society's Benjamin Franklin Hall.
