Dave Conant and Maureen Malloy Accept National Award in NYC
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) recently honored WRTI with the ASCAP Deems Taylor Radio Broadcast Award for outstanding classical music and jazz programming. Dave Conant and Maureen Malloy accepted the award during a ceremony in December at The Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City."Receiving this award," says Dave Conant, "proves that jazz and classical programming are vital, vibrant, and important formats for radio." Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and the late Fred Rogers were also honored for the program's outstanding musical content.
