Tune in or listen online on Wednesday, April 1st between 6 am and 6 pm to hear many of the beloved Russian composer's works, including some of his famous solo piano compositions.

A Taste of What You'll Hear on April 1st:

  • Piano Concerto No. 3 with pianist Vladimir Horowitz, and Eugene Ormandy conducting the New York Philharmonic @ 11 am

  • Suite No. 1 for two pianos with Brenda Lucas and John Ogden @ 3 pm

  • Some of Rachmaninoff's early works will be heard, with selections from his opera Aleko, and the Rimsky-Korsakov-inspired Capriccio Bohemien @ 4 pm

  • Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Lang Lang, and the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater, Valery Gergiev, conductor @ 5:30 pm
