You don't want to miss what plans to be a wonderful evening on The Bridge - THREE truly special guests: master Trumpeter and epic composer Hannibal Lokumbe visits during the first hour to speak about the world premiere of Can You Hear God Crying? at the Kimmel Center, as well as his participation in a much-anticipated John Coltrane celebration.
The second hour will feature a true Philadelphia treasure - saxophonist Bobby Zankel. Bobby will provide a unique insight into yet another John Coltrane celebration. His Warriors of the Wonderful Sound Big Band will be joined by saxophone legends Dave Liebman and Odean Pope. Some consider Mr. Pope the saxophonist that John Coltrane passed the torch to in Philadelphia.
'Round about midnight, Philly homegirl and vocalist extraodinaire Rachelle Ferrell, along with all six of her octaves, will join in the mix to get us caught up on her recent activities. Rachelle's quick wit and embracing personality will surely supply a few laughs as she chronicles her time living in Philly, life in the music business, and details of her upcoming, not to be missed, performance at the Keswick Theater in Glenside.
Tune in Friday, September 14th, starting at 10 pm to catch all the fun!
