Join host Jim Cotter to hear AVA's Giargiari Bel Canto Competition - now in its 34th year. Help select the WRTI audience favorite by voting on our website during the broadcast of the competition, which was recorded live on October 4th at the Kimmel Center. The top three winners will be announced on the air and online at 4: 58 pm.
Listen to talented young artists each sing an aria and compete for prizes, awarded by a panel of esteemed judges: Jonathan Friend, Artistic Administrator at the Metropolitan Opera; Eve Queler, American composer and Emerita Artistic Director of the Opera Orchestra of New York; and Charles MacKay, the General Director of the Santa Fe Opera. Danielle Orlando is music director and pianist.
