The Philadelphia Orchestra lends its lush sound to familiar and timeless holiday classics and carols on this Sunday's archival Philadelphia Orchestra In Concert broadcast from 2004. The Glorious Sound of Christmas, named for the Orchestra’s best-selling Christmas album, is an annual Philadelphia Orchestra tradition and the perfect way to begin your holiday celebrations.
Conductor Rossen Milanov is joined by Philadelphia's Singing City Choir and Princeton's American Boychoir, performing selections from the beloved LP featuring Eugene Ormandy and The Philadelphia Orchestra - from Schubert's Ave Maria, to selections from The Nutcracker, to Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride. Christmas never sounded better!

That's this Sunday, December 15th from 1 to 3 pm. Join us! Merry Christmas to all of our listeners!
