WRTI invites you to experience The Crossing chamber choir’s 2014 Christmas concert, The Crossing @ Christmas, recorded live on December 19th at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.
This annual performance is known for creating an aura of tranquility, and has become a holiday tradition for many vocal music lovers throughout our region. You can hear this year’s concert on WRTI - on the radio or online - Thursday, December 25, 2 to 4 pm.
Highlights include Joanne Metcalf’s florid invocations to the Mystic Rose of Dante’s Paradiso – a work of substantial proportions yet intimate textures. The contemplative atmosphere continues with the extraordinary textures of Toivo Tulev and the lush harmonies of Will Todd, Anna Thorvaldsdottir, Gregory Brown, and Howard Helvey. This performance is the inaugural concert of The Jeffrey Dinsmore Memorial Fund @ The Crossing. Jeffrey Dinsmore was co-founder of The Crossing and passed away unexpectedly in April, 2014.
