The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert on WRTI: Rachmaninoff Festival! Nov. 5th, 1 to 4 PM

Pianist Nikolai Lugansky will perfrom Rachmaninoff's second and third Piano Concerti on the WRTI broadcast, June 18 at 1 pm.

It's a special three-hour Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert broadcast, on Sunday at 1 pm, capturing highlights of the Orchestra’s three-day Rachmaninoff Festival from last April.

Featured will be Rachmaninoff’s 4th Piano Concerto, played by Haochen Zhang, the 2nd and 3rd Concerti, played by Nikolai Lugansky, and a work that Rachmaninoff composed especially for the Philadelphia Orchestra—his Symphonic Dances!

Principal Guest Conductor Stéphane Denève will be on the podium.

This was an exciting three-day event, with different programs each day, and here’s an opportunity to relive, or hear for the first time, three piano concerti, and the Symphonic Dances, all on one program! It’s a Rachmaninoff-lover’s feast!
