Big news! We are proud to broadcast live, in real time, this year’s Philadelphia Orchestra New Year’s Eve Concert from the Kimmel Center, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The broadcast will be repeated on New Year’s Day at 1 PM.  Join us at 90.1 FM or streaming LIVE on the WRTI Classical Stream at

We're so lucky to live and work in a city whose cultural crown jewel is one of the world’s greatest and storied orchestras: The Philadelphia Orchestra. For more than a century, this legendary orchestra has been a cultural ambassador to the world, its concerts sold out, from New York to Paris to Berlin to Vienna to Shanghai, to Tokyo, to wherever it travels.

This broadcast makes Philadelphia history. A live New Year’s Eve concert of your favorites - from the shimmering grandeur of Vienna, to the bright lights of Broadway, to the serene beauty of Helsinki, LIVE from a sold-out Verizon Hall! Can you think of a better way to ring in 2019? Violinist Kimberly Fisher is soloist.

Monday evening at 7:30 PM, December 31st, live from the Kimmel Center, WRTI 90.1 will be there if you cannot be —it’s our holiday gift to you. Be listening, wherever you may be, to the radio, the Jazz Web Stream at, or the WRTI Mobile App, as we make history, and ring in the New Year with The Philadelphia Orchestra! Gregg Whiteside is your host.
