WRTI 90.1 Partners with Philabundance for GivingTuesday 2019

On December 3, 2019, we have 24 hours to turn an ordinary Tuesday into something extraordinary! How? It’s GivingTuesday! This GivingTuesday, WRTI will inspire generosity by partnering with Philabundance—Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization.

Contributing to WRTI on GivingTuesday reaches into the community in a way that’s unlike any other day of the year. For every gift donated to WRTI, ten meals will be donated to Philabundance by the WRTI staff. Our goal is to donate 3,500 meals to Philabundance. That means we need to hear from 350 listeners on GivingTuesday.

It’s the perfect day to renew your annual support, become a new sustaining member or make an additional gift. Your gift supports two great institutions in our community!

Philabundance serves our neighbors in need through their own food distribution programs and a network of approximately 350 social service agencies, including food pantries, churches, shelters, and emergency kitchens.

“We’re grateful to WRTI for its efforts to raise not just money for the station this GivingTuesday, but also funds for Philabundance to help feed the more than 700,000 people in our area in need. Partners like WRTI that donate funds to Philabundance can help us not only drive hunger from our communities today but end hunger for good,” says Glenn Bergman, Executive Director of Philabundance.

What does WRTI share with Philabundance? LOVE for our community. We’re asking you to stand up for both organizations on GivingTuesday. Can we count on you? Contribute Here or call 1-866-809-9784. Thanks so much!
