You can help WRTI 90.1 support Temple University jazz students by providing the costs to compensate the student performers and to record, produce, broadcast, and share their music played at Rite of Swing Jazz Café in the 2019–2020 school year.
Each Thursday during the fall and spring semesters, the Boyer College of Music and Dance presents superb jazz in a café setting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. It’s open to all and free of charge, and people of all ages drop in to listen and enjoy great music in the transformed lobby of the Temple Performing Arts Center. The performers may be established professionals including faculty or up-and-coming jazz students and alumni.
This "OWLCROWD" campaign runs from November 1 until December 15.

WRTI is committed to sharing the performances of the talented students at the Boyer College and wants to record and produce these performances, which would then be introduced by WRTI jazz hosts Bob Craig, J. Michael Harrison, Ms. Blue, and others.
More than 300,000 people listen to WRTI weekly on the air and via the Internet. This opportunity for students to be heard on the radio (and beyond!) is rarely available to young musicians. It’s a great career step and together we can make it happen. WRTI 90.1 seeks $5,000 to cover the expenses related to sharing the jazz performed by 25 students at the Boyer College Rite of Swing Jazz Café.
