Takács Quartet joins Jeremy Denk; Rafael Payare leads Tchaikovsky

It is a quiet week in Philadelphia as we ease back into concert season after the whirlwind of the holidays. That might mean you could catch each of these shows and culture-vulture your way into the weekend! Sign up to receive Fanfare in your inbox.

As a young violinist, Meg Bragle regularly listened to her local classical music station and loved calling in on Saturday mornings to request pieces, usually by Beethoven. The hosts were always kind and played her requests (often the Fifth Symphony), fostering a genuine love for radio.
