Women of Note and Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra

Jeri Lynne Johnson is music director of Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra.

Now in its sixth season, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra continues to perform classical music in a way that reflects ethnic and gender diversity among musicians. As WRTI's Susan Lewis reports, an upcoming concert highlights works by three women.

On Thursday evening, December 12, 2013, at Ardmore Presbyterian Church in Ardmore, PA, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, led by Jeri Lynn Johnson performs works by Tania Leon, Suzanne Sorkin, and Melinda Wagner, with flutist Julietta Curenton as soloist. Details here.
