Early 20th-century Italian composer, pianist, and conductor Alfredo Casella promoted music of his compatriots. As WRTI’s Susan Lewis reports, the 21st-century conductor Giandrea Noseda is shining a light on Casella’s lesser-known work.

On WRTI's Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert broadcast on Sunday, September 14, conductor Gianandrea Noseda leads the Orchestra in a performance of Casella's Symphonic Fragments from La Donna Serpente. Also on the program is Prokofiev's Violin Concerto and Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3.
