Through his piano, Shai Wosner connects Beethoven with newly commissioned works in a recital of variations written 200 years apart.
This program includes Beethoven’s 33 Variations on a Waltz by Diabelli, Op. 120 and Philadelphia premieres by Derek Bermel, Anthony Cheung, Vijay Iyer, Wang Lu, and John Harbison.
