Composer Dario Marianelli

It is often a beautiful tapestry of music that weaves together some of our favorite films. Composer Dario Marianelli has been creating these musical tapestries to great acclaim. The Italian master was nominated for an Academy Award in 2005 for Pride and Prejudice, and won a Golden Globe and Academy Award two years later for his work in the poetic film masterpiece Atonement. Most recently, Marianelli contributed original music to the soundtrack for The Soloist.

Aside from his brilliant work in the film industry, Marianelli has also composed orchestral pieces for the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Join host Jill Pasternak for a memorable interview.
