Picasso and the Avant Garde in Paris: PMA Puts Modern Master in Context

In his over 90 years, Pablo Picasso created thousands of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, drawings, and prints, and became one of the most-recognized artists of the 20th century. On this week's News and Views, Susan Lewis looks at how an exhibition - now at the Philadelphia Museum of Art until April 25, 2010 - puts this modern master in context.

Susan writes and produces stories about music and the arts. She’s host and producer of WRTI’s TIME IN online interview series, and contributes weekly intermission interviews for The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert series. She’s also been a regular host of WRTI’s Live from the Performance Studio sessions.
