The Chestnut Street Singers were live from WRTI's Performance Studio in advance of their March 6th and 8th concerts celebrating the past and future of their ensemble, now in its 10th season. WRTI's Susan Lewis, host.
Based in Center City, Philadelphia, Chestnut Street Singers is a cooperative chamber choir, which performs both classic choral repertoire and new works. Conducting duties are shared by several conductors, and this program at WRTI includes a world premiere set to texts written by former and current members of the group. Composer Dale Trumbore joins the ensemble at WRTI.
