Overture with Mark Pinto

Saturday, 12 noon to 1 PM

Join Mark Pinto for a musical prelude to the afternoon's opera broadcast with an hour of instrumental music and other selections from the world of opera. 

You'll hear overtures, ballet music, and suites, along with transcriptions and paraphrases. Choruses and ensembles, in classic and contemporary recordings, will also be featured. It's a delightful mix that will set the stage for your afternoon opera.

WRTI host Mark Pinto will be at Wayne Presbyterian Church on Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 pm singing with 160 vocalists of the Wayne Oratorio Society in a free concert open to the public.
