April is just around the corner, and at long last, spring has fully kicked in. Can it be a coincidence that the live music calendar feels so in bloom?

Philly Made is a new WRTI initiative featuring artists whose lives and music have been shaped by the culture of Philadelphia — including Featured Artists like up-and-coming pianist Jordan Williams, who just released his debut album, Playing by Ear.

Philly's own Joe Block and Jordan Isaiah Williams are among the young players who will compete in the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition, on Oct. 14 and 15.
