Born in New York City to German-Jewish immigrants, Lorenz Hart penned some of Broadway’s most haunting, sophisticated lyrics. At age 24, he began collaborating with composer Richard Rodgers who was 17 at the time.


Continuing WRTI 90.1’s tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the dynamic baritone Keith Spencer joined us on the air and on Facebook for a program that explored the rich musical legacy of the African-American experience, with host Debra Lew Harder.

There will be plenty of musical holiday cheer at the kick-off event for "A Very Philly Christmas," at the Historic Houses of Fairmount Park. WRTI hosts, including Gregg Whiteside, Debra Lew Harder, and J. Michael Harrison, will greet you personally on Saturday, December 1st for "Sounds of the Season."
