The month's broadcast of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia features an appearance by prominent Philadelphia flutist Mimi Stillman, who appeared with the ensemble earlier this month playing Mozart and Piazzolla.
We'll hear her play the Mozart Concerto in G and Music Director Dirk Brosse's arrangement of Libertango, by Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla.
In keeping with the Chamber Orchestra's Improvisionaries theme, Ms. Stillman will improvise extensively during the Piazzolla, making it quite a unique musical experience.
The broadcast will also feature music for the Christmas holiday by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Arcangelo Corelli, led by founding conductor Mark Mostovoy.
Jack Moore will be your host for the broadcast, Sunday, December 17th, 5 to 6 pm on WRTI 90.1.
