Listen to pianist David Kaplan in a “Carnaval” of imagination and virtuosity. WRTI's Debra Lew Harder is host for this live studio broadcast.
A Yamaha artist, Kaplan has been praised by The Boston Globe for his “grace and fire.” He’ll be performing selections from his program, which includes Schumann’s marvelous suite for piano, “Carnaval,” in advance of his appearance at Music at Bunker Hill in Sewell, NJ on Sunday, September 8th.
We’ll also hear three intriguing, new, commissioned works that take direct inspiration from Schumann’s “Carnaval.”
To round out the program, Music at Bunker Hill Artistic Director and acclaimed violist William Frampton will perform a movement from Schumann’s “Märchenbilder” (“Fairytale Pictures”) with Kaplan. WRTI’s Debra Lew Harder will host.
