Formed in 2005, The Crossing has performed over 70 world premieres, and released over 16 recordings.
Led by director Donald Nally, The Crossing @ Christmas concerts take place on Friday, December 20th, at 7:30 PM at the Church of the Holy Trinity on Rittenhouse Square, presented by Annenberg Center, and Sunday, December 22nd, at 5 PM at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.
The ensemble visits WRTI's Performance Studio to sing a preview of this concert program, which features David Lang's Pulitzer-winning 2008 composition the little match girl passion, and Spectral Spirits, a world premiere by Edie Hill.

Among The Crossings' honors are 2018 and 2019 Grammy awards. This year, three recent recordings are nominated for the 2020 Grammys—two for Best Choral Performance (The Arc in the Sky by Kile Smith; Voyages by C.S. Boyle and Robert Convery) and one for Best Contemporary Classical Composition and Best Engineer (Fire in my mouth by Julia Wolfe)
