WRTI's NPR Live Sessions Video of the Week: International Singer-Songwriter Ola Onabulé

In the WRTI Performance Studio

British-Nigerian, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and music producer Ola Onabulé has been on the music scene for more than 20 years.

Ola and his ensemble have consolidated a reputation with audiences globally while performing at music festivals or with big bands and symphonic orchestras. Recently, his soulful voice and elegant stance delighted a WRTI Live Session audience with a trio of songs from his new album, Point Less, about love, loss, and the human condition.

“Late last year Ola Onabulé? and his brilliant band provided a hand-picked audience of friends and WRTI staff with a wonderful and intimate set of original music in the WRTI performance studio," says WRTI Jazz Host and Live Sessions Executive Producer J. Michael Harrison. "He had recently popped onto my radar with the release of his excellent CD, Point Less. It was a bit of a surprise when his camp reached out to mention that he would be in the area and might be available to visit the station. I’m so happy that we were able to coordinate an NPR Live Session with such an exceptional talent. I’m thrilled to share this video from that extraordinary session with you.”
