The idea of home can mean many things: it can describe our history, our roots, and our culture. Composers have often been influenced and inspired by the places and traditions they associate with home, as well as the places that most fascinate them.
In this episode, Yannick explores music from many cultures and countries around the world, including Spain, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Armenia, the different visions of America. The richness of this music reflects the many influences that come together in each composition, as well as the very personal experience of a composer inviting us to hear — and appreciate — the sounds of home.
