It's going to be an awesome concert. Join us to discover eight incredibly talented Astral artists, winners of the highly competitive Astral National Auditions, performing in person, and presented by our very own senior producer of arts & culture, Susan Lewis. The date is Wednesday, October 20th at 7 PM. The place is Stotesbury Mansion just off of Rittenhouse Square.
What's Astral all about? Here's Astral's new executive director Lourdes Starr-Demers to fill you in:
"As an organization that has been supporting and developing emerging classical musicians for 30 years, Philadelphia-based Astral provides a range of experiences for its musicians, so that ideas and collaborations are cultivated to deeply connect with audiences. We are thrilled to open our season this year with a special concert featuring eight brilliant artists who have just joined our roster. They are extraordinary musicians who bring an individual approach and interpretation of the most compelling classical works— including some familiar and some contemporary and new."

Helen Zhibing Huang, soprano; Valentin Kovalev, saxophone; Hilda Huang, piano & harpsichord; ARKAI, string duo; Amer Hasan, clarinet; Hao Yang, guitar; and Julian Rhee, violin
