Happy New Year! We hope you had a happy holiday full of good cheer and great music. One of WRTI’s resolutions for 2024 is to bring our listeners a revamped weekend classical experience. Here’s the summary of our new weekend sound:

AT YOUR REQUEST

  • At Your Request is now every weekday! Join us after the news at noon for a different listener request Monday through Friday. Make your request now!

SATURDAYS

  • Mike Bolton brings you an extra hour of Saturday Morning Classics into the afternoon, from 8am to the beginning of the opera broadcast at 1 p.m.
  • Mark Pinto continues Saturday afternoons with opera followed by classical music from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

SUNDAYS

  • Following The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert from 1-3 p.m., we’ll be offering a new show: Sunday Classical from 3 to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday Classical will be hosted by WRTI’s hosts — including John Scherch, Melinda Whiting, Meg Bragle, Mike Bolton, Mark Pinto, and Dave Tarantino — on a rotating basis. The first Sunday of each month, Mark Pinto will host a special edition of Sunday Classical, focused on classical new releases.
  • From the Top will now air from 7-8am on Saturday mornings. Carnegie Hall Live and the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts will now air on WRTI-HD2 from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays evenings.

Check out our new weekend lineup at our updated weekly schedule.

Thanks for listening!
