Join us on WRTI 90.1 for our annual Opera Day, a fun-filled celebration of the passion, drama, humor, humanity, and richness that opera has to offer, on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We'll journey through the most unforgettable moments in opera, featuring your favorite arias, choruses, overtures, and ballet music with hosts Mike Bolton, John T.K. Scherch, Melinda Whiting, and Mark Pinto.
At 1 p.m., you'll hear one of the world's most famous operas – Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville, a production by Philadelphia's Academy of Vocal Arts featuring a cast of mega-talented AVA resident artists along with the AVA Opera Orchestra, conducted by Richard Raub.
