
Lydia Veilleux
Education and Outreach ManagerLydia Veilleux has worked in music education and arts administration for the past 20 years, and has taught students of all ages in various community settings. As WRTI's Education & Outreach Manager, she oversees educational partnerships, sponsorships, events, and coverage.
Lydia previously served as the Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment for Boyer College of Music at Temple University. Before coming to Temple, Lydia worked as the Artistic Director of the Trenton Music Makers Orchestra program, an El Sistema-inspired orchestra program in Trenton, NJ. She also served as the Willow Grove Branch Director at Settlement Music School.
Growing up in Maine, Lydia began her music career playing traditional fiddle styles and classical music. Lydia is an in-demand clinician leading workshops on string improvisation and fiddle styles and has taught workshops for the LA Phil's YOLA National Symposium, The El Sistema USA Symposium, String Project Los Angeles, and numerous bluegrass festivals.
Lydia lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her husband and son and maintains a studio of fiddle students. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and swimming.
