Shaun Brady
Shaun Brady is a Philadelphia-based journalist who covers jazz along with an eclectic array of arts, culture and travel.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Shaun studied filmmaking at Columbia College Chicago before returning east (after a brief detour in Seattle) to Philly. He began his career covering film and jazz for the late, lamented Philadelphia City Paper, and has been contributing to the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News for more than 15 years.
Shaun writes regularly for JazzTimes and Jazziz magazines, with subjects ranging from legendary artists to underground experimentalists, and writes about heavy metal and other genres for Tidal. His byline has appeared in Bandcamp Daily, DownBeat, Metro, NPR Music and the A/V Club.
